And I certainly wouldn't consider the 1250 vs the 1300. If you've always been a cruiser rider, a GS is a big move in a different direction. You don't offer your off-road experience, but if it's limited, you're looking at a bike made for experts. Start smaller/lighter, the trend has been to the 700cc and lower classes.
