I see both HL2 ep1 and HL2 ep2 are sharing the same install folder, but when I try to launch ep2 i get the compliant about missing files and to make sure they are installed in the same drive. I have verified the integrity of both installs and even reinstalled ep2 to make sure it was to the correct drive but still have the issue.

I'm having same files missing error, I can confirm two of the 3 directories exist for me with episodicvr dir missing. Then you do not have Episode One installed. Follow the link above and install it. And if you haven't played it before, probably play that first, before tackling Episode Two :) #3.
